Apple Releases iOS 8.1.1 to Improve Performance on Older Devices
Apple released iOS 8.1.1 on Monday to iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch owners.
The release comes nearly a month after the release of iOS 8.1, the focus is on bug fixes and performance improvements for older devices such as the iPad 2 and iPhone 4S.
In addition to updating iOS 8, Apple also released a small update for OS X Yosemite — OS X 10.10.1, which fixes Wi-Fi performance and other issues.
Users can update their devices manually by going to Settings > General > Software Update, or they can wait for Apple to push it out automatically as long as automatic updates are enabled.
