Apple Implements iCloud Price Increase in PH

Users subscribed to Apple’s iCloud service in the Philippines should expect a higher bill on their subscription, as the tech giant is implementing a price increase on its cloud storage effective this month.

This comes as Apple is now charging users an additional PHP100 to their subscription, making them pay PHP599 a month for the 2 terabyte (TB) option compared to the old price of PHP 499.

Moreover, with the 200 gigabyte (GB) subscription, users will now have to pay PHP179 per month compared to the previous rate of PHP149.

Meanwhile, the 50GB subscription remains unchanged at PHP49 per month.

While these specific price adjustments are effective only in the Philippines, Apple has also implemented a price increase of its iCloud services in other countries last year as well.

As the price increase only involves iCloud’s higher tier options, only those who subscribe to either the 200 GB or 2 TB subscription plans will receive notifications of this upcoming increase. (GFB)
