Apple Confirms October 22nd Launch Event
Apple has confirmed an event for October 22 through a media invitation that carries the tagline “We still have a lot to cover”.
The event will be held at the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts in San Francisco and will begin at 10am Pacific time where it will announce new iPads, along with the final features and availability of OS X 10.9 Mavericks and new MacBok Pros.
The fifth generation iPad is rumored to be thinner and lighter design, as well as an improved camera, according to the AllThingsD report. It will also reportedly run Apple’s new 64-bit A7 chip.
A second generation iPad mini–featuring a retina display and the A7 chip–will also be announced at the event, the report claims.
It has been rumored that Apple’s new iPads will feature the Touch ID fingerprint scanner that was first seen in the iPhone 5s.
