APEC Lockdown Protocol Remains in Effect in Major MM Roadways

Despite the departure of some leaders in the just concluded Asia-Pacific Economic Conference (APEC) Leaders’ Summit, the Philippine National Police-Highway Patrol Group (PNP-HPG) announced that its lockdown protocol is still in effect until late Friday afternoon.

This was disclosed by PNP-HPG head Chief Superintendent Arnold Gunnacao in a message to the PNA.

Roads still close to traffic include Roxas Boulevard from Manila Hotel, P. Burgos Street leading to the NAIA Road.

The above-mentioned roadways were closed as early Thursday and will be opened to traffic around 4 p.m. Friday.

While NAIA Road leading to Terminal 1 will be closed 9 a.m until 12:15 noon to facilitate the departure of APEC delegations.

It will be opened briefly and will be closed again from 1:45 p.m. to 3 p.m..

Also closed to traffic starting 6 a.m. to 10 a.m. are EDSA to Ayala Boulevard to Arnaiz Avenue to Magallanes Complex.

While Magallanes to Skyway/SLEX to Terminal 3 southbound-East Service Road PNR SLEX Exit to Magallanes northbound-SLEX/Skyway Ramp southbound exit to Terminal 3 are closed to traffic starting 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. (PNA) JBP/PFN/CLTC
