Owner of Apartelle de Arcenas Marilyn Arcenas has shared the history behind this very promising apartelle.

Several years ago, Marilyn and her husband, Victor Arcenas stayed in a certain apartelle in Bacolod where they got the idea of making their own.

Arcenas said that it took them a lot of guts to finally decide to enter this kind of business.

“This business is our flesh and blood,” Arcenas shared.

She also shared the struggle of making the decision simply because it is a big risk. Both of them don’t have the experience to run and operate an apartelle business.

In 2003, they finally made the move and the construction of the apartelle’s phase 1 started. In 2007, it was already operational. Later in 2010, they decided to put up the 2nd phase which allowed them to attract more tourists and customers.

When asked what makes Apartelle de Arcenas unique among the other apartelles in Cebu, Arcenas simply answered with full confidence, “People always come back because they find it here liveable, where we don’t treat them as guests, we treat them as a family,” Arcenas said.
