Following Monday’s car bomb blast that killed nine people and injured 30 others in Sinsuat st. Cotabato City, another explosion blew the waiting area of a pawnshop that partly destroyed a portion of a radio station in Midsayap town, North Cotabato province before dawn Wednesday.

Police investigators said they are on the process of determining what type of explosive device used in the blast in front of the building housing the WOW Radio at 3:00 am Wednesday.

Superintendent Reynante delos Santos told reporters that their primary findings revealed that an improvised explosive device blew up under a concrete bench located just in front of a building that housed a pawnshop at the ground floor and WOW Radio station at the second floor of the same building. Delos Santos added no one was reported injured in the blast.

“Nagpapasalamat tayo walang casualty, may damage sa rolling door,” Delos Santos said.

Delos Santos also cited information which said the radio station’s owner had received “bomb threats” even before last Monday’s Cotabato blast, Gma news online reported.
