Rugby Football Club Cebu City, Pot Bellied Pigs RFC Hong Kong, VISMIN Rugby Football Union and Philippine Rugby present the Annual Summer Grassroots Touch Rugby Tournament 2015 this May 24, 10:00 am at the Cebu International School Pit-Os, Talamban Cebu City.
Touch rugby refers to games derived from rugby football in which players do not tackle each other in the traditional, highly physical way, but instead touch their opponents using their hands on any part of the body, clothing, or the ball.
A formal, competitive variety, known as Touch, developed from rugby league and now exists as a sport in its own right. In addition, touch rugby games are played as training activities for rugby league and rugby union; as safer variants of rugby, particularly in schools and junior clubs, and as an informal social sport.
Cebu City Rugby Football Club (CCRFC) was founded in Sept 2005. It’s teams include the Men’s full contact rugby. (Cebu Dragons), Mens Development Team (Komodo Dragons),Ladies Full contact rugby (Lady Dragons) and the Veterans Rugby (Low Flying Dragons). Its goal is to develop the sport in the region and country.
