‘Amihan’ Brings Rains On Tuesday
The northeast monsoon or “hangin amihan,” the dominant weather system affecting the country, continues to bring rains in many parts of the country on Tuesday, according to Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA).
PAGASA said that northeast monsoon prevails over Luzon and Visayas.
For Tuesday forecast, the northeast monsoon will bring cloudy skies with light to moderate rains over Bicol Region, Visayas and the provinces of Mindoro, Marinduque and Romblon while cloudy skies with light rains is expected over the regions of Cagayan Valley, Cordillera and the provinces of Aurora, Rizal and Quezon.
Partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains will be experienced over Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon. Partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms will prevail over Mindanao.
It added moderate to strong winds blowing from the northeast will prevail over the whole archipelago with moderate to rough seas.
With the presence of northeast monsoon, the state-run weather bureau also issued gale warning due to strong gale force winds as sea conditions will be rough to very rough and is expected to affect the seaboards of Luzon and Visayas.
“Fishing boats and other small seacrafts are advised not to venture out into the sea while larger sea vessels are alerted against big waves,” it warned. (PNA) JBP/CLTC
