Alessi and Conlins: Formidable Partners of Design and Quality

Conlins Coffee World Inc, a premiere coffee manufacturer and distributor in the Philippines, partners with Alessi Company, an Italian factory of design, in opening stores here in the Philippines.

Conlins is a company founded by Harris Lim when he couldn’t find any premium coffee beans in the Philippines. Coffee was a childhood passion he shared with his father. Now their company has expanded to selling premium Arabica coffee beans, custom-blended coffee beans, Swiss-made Jura Impresa and German-made WMF and Italian-made Wega coffee machines. Safety and quality-products are the top priority of their company since it started.

Under the international standards of the Integrated Risk Management System (IRMS), they currently acquired 3 food management systems namely ISO 22000, Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) and Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP).

Alessi is an Italian company that has been around for 94 years. A popular brand in Europe, it has decided to expand in Asia. Their product line include: wristwatches, pens, cars, cordless telephones, lighters, kitchen wares, bathroom and tiles and other household materials. It has manufactured products with metal, porcelain, glass, wood and plastic. Their products are crafted and made with careful thought on the material used. They believe in being the mediator between creative design and the technicalities in manufacturing products.

Though their biggest challenges are in logistics, the culture and language barrier, they remain supportive of each other’s progress. They have remained partners for the past 8 years.
