The 23-year-old Gumban, who hails from Escalante City in Negros Occidental, had sixteen professional fights, eight of which he won KO’s and TKO’s, and now will put his unbeaten record on the line as he battles against Egera with 21-10, 10KO record for a 10-rounder bout under the Bantamweight division (116 lbs).

In the supporting main event of the boxing bout, Juren Labordo (11-1,7KO), a Bacolod-sensation boxing champ, will slug it out against JP Macadumpis (9-2-1,3KO) of General Santos City for 8 rounds under the 115-pound division, while Powell Balaba (8-10-1, 5KO) will exchange punches with Junior Salvador of Mandaue City for 6 rounds under the 108-pound division.

Two Japanese fighters in Takaoki Noma and Yuki Iriguchi, both with 0-3 record, will also strut their action against separate foes in the slambang event. Noma will be fighting Aldrin Guara of Bacolod City under the 130-pound division, while Iriguchi will go up against Melchor Abcede of Tagbilaran City under the 118-pound division.

The rest of the fight card features Peter Apolinar vs Sonny Basanez; and Vicente Cosido of Dumaguete City vs Holly Quinones of General Santos City. Both fighters will be fighting under the 122-pound divisions.

This event is free to the public and is organized by ALA Boxing Promotions in partnership with Cobra Energy Drink.

“Boxing is a sport. We made it free since this event helps us to bring forth real live quality boxing sport closer to the local fans and showcasing to them the future boxing fighters of our country”, said Dennis Cañete, Vice President of ALA Promotions.

ALA Promotions and Cobra Tunay Na Lakas Energy drink consider this event would pave the way for aspiring Filipino world champions, craving to showcase and create boxing champions in the Philippines with boundless opportunities.
