“Aksyon Agad Government” Implemented in Talisay City

The Aksyon Agad Government under the new City Mayor of Talisay Gerald Anthony “Samsam” Gullas officially started on the very first day of his assumption as Mayor.

On July 2, during the 1st session of the 7th Sangguniang Panglungsod (City Council) of Talisay City, Gullas expressed his willingness to promote and implement quick action response unit through his “Aksyon Agad Administration”.

Gullas pointed out that by responding to people in need as soon as possible, it can also be a big way to develop the citizen’s welfare.

“Unsay kinanglan sa mga Talisaynon atong tubagon dayun, the Aksyon Agad Administration is officially here to serve (We will provide the needs of every citizen of Talisay City right away. The Aksyon Agad Administration is officially here to serve),” Gullas said.

Gullas also highlighted 3 major programs that his administration will strengthen.

First is the scholarship and education of students, where recently the tuition fee for students enrolled in Talisay City College is now free.

Second is the tourism, Gullas said that he wanted Talisay City to be as popular as it was in the 60’s and 70’s where people come and enjoy their famous lechon and beaches in Larawan.

Third is the “Aksyon Agad Team” where he formed a 20 persons team including plumber, electricians and other front-liners to answer the needs of every Talisaynon.

“Kaning Aksyon Agad Team, it is a 20-men team diin mao ni siya atong i-deploy dayun dayun ug dunay mga problema diri sa Talisay (This “Aksyon Agad Team” is a 20-men team which will be deployed if there are problems in the City),” Gullas said.

Gullas also called out all the City Councilors and Department Heads to also do their part to the best they can so that they can inspire people to do the same.

“Kung ilang makita nga gitabangan sila sa gobyerno, diha diha dayun sila napoy mutabang sa ilang isig ka tao (If the people can see that the government is helping them, that is the time that they will also help other people in need),” Gullas uttered.

Meanwhile, Talisay City Vice Mayor Alan Bucao and the whole City Council showed full support to Mayor Gullas’ plans for the betterment of every Talisaynon. (MLC)
