With this monumental move, the partnership between APC and ACEN Renewable Energy Solutions has been fortified, setting forth a shared goal towards a greener tomorrow with clean energy.

Ajinomoto Philippines Corporation (APC) is redefining sustainability, one bold step at a time. In its latest milestone, APC celebrated the launch of the 100% Renewable Energy Badge for its APF Cebu Factory—an achievement that brings its mission for a greener tomorrow closer to reality. This transition marks the completion of APC’s shift to 100% renewable energy across all its factories in the Philippines, an achievement that aligns with its ambitious 2030 Roadmap. This roadmap places environmental stewardship front and center, proving APC’s dedication to safeguarding the planet for generations to come.

The unveiling ceremony, held at Dusit Thani Mactan and the APF Cebu Factory, was attended by APC executives, partners from ACEN Renewable Energy Solutions, and members of the media. The event featured the ceremonial handover of the Renewable Energy Badge and an exclusive factory tour.

“Looking ahead, we aspire to further strengthen this mutually beneficial partnership with ACEN. Together, we have demonstrated that sustainability is not just an aspiration—it is a tangible reality. And together, I am confident that we will continue to make meaningful strides in reducing carbon emissions and fostering a healthier planet for future generations,” said Koichi Ozaki, President of Ajinomoto Philippines Corporation.

APC is committed to reducing its carbon footprint and emissions annually. With APF Cebu’s transition to renewable energy, the company moves closer to achieving a greener tomorrow. Last year, APF Bulacan also made the switch to 100% renewable energy, avoiding approximately 6,500 metric tons of CO2 equivalent emissions annually. Additionally, the Bulacan facility features a 1MWp Solar Rooftop Array through a partnership with MSpectrum, a Meralco subsidiary.

But this milestone is about more than cutting emissions. The collaboration between APC and ACEN reflects an innovative approach to sustainability—one that optimizes energy consumption costs while protecting the environment. “This milestone reflects APC’s purpose of ‘Eat Well, Live Well’ not just for today, but for future generations,” Ozaki added.

From pioneering healthier food solutions to championing renewable energy among local manufacturers, Ajinomoto Philippines Corporation remains steadfast in its mission of “Eat Well, Live Well.” The successful transition of its factories to renewable energy is more than just a series of achievements—it is a bold step in making sustainability a reality. As APC looks to the future, this accomplishment inspires the entire APC community to continue innovating and building a healthier, greener, and more sustainable future for all Filipinos.
