Agri Eng’g Board Topnotcher Wants to Boost Agri Production
One of the topnotchers in the recently conducted Agricultural Engineering board exam who hails in Isabela is willing to share to the government his knowledge and skills to improve the country’s agricultural production.
Ryan Ancheta, 21, graduate of Agricultural Engineering at the Isabela State University-Echague campus, placed third in the recent licensure exam for agriculture engineers nationwide with a rating of 82.97 percent.
Ancheta said he intends to give back to his home city by helping the agriculture sector increase their annual yields in a sustainable way.
He said he also wants to promote risk reduction in the country’s agriculture program.
Ancheta encouraged incoming college students to take up agriculture courses as enrollment in agriculture and related courses nationwide continues to go down despite the increasing demand for food and other farm products in the country.
Ancheta plans to work in government to help more farmers increase production, thus making their families economically stronger and stable. (ALM/MGE/PIA-2/Isabela)
