Adidas Unveils The miCoach Fit Smart
Adidas has officially revealed the miCoach Fit Smart wristband at San Francisco’s 2014 Wearable Tech Conference.
The wearable device can track and measure health data such as calories burned, steps walked and heart rate. Its strap is made out of soft-touch silicone which ensures that the activity tracker is comfortable to wear on the wrist for long periods of time.
The miCoach Fit Smart wristband sports a small LED strip running along the side which will change color depending upon the intensity of the workout. It is chargeable over microUSB and comes in a choice of two colors: black and a translucent milky white.
“We’re also introducing weekly goals, which are workout challenges you can set yourself,” said Simon Drabble, digital sports director of project creation at Adidas.
The wearable device has an app called MiCoach Train and Run, which is compatible with Android and iOS devices and supports 11 languages.
Adidas says the 58g miCoach Fit Smart will last for a couple of days of active training but around five if you’re using it merely as a standard activity tracker.
The miCoach Fit Smart will begin selling through Adidas’ online and retail stores on August 15 around the world for $199.
