Acer Unveils Liquid Leap Smartband, Five Phones and a Tablet
Acer has unveiled seven new devices all at once. First, the Liquid Leap smartband – Acer’s first wearable device.
The Liquid Leap has a 1-inch touch screen embedded into a rubber wristband that features fitness and sleep tracking, phone notifications and music controls. The smartband works with the Liquid Jade smartphone, a curved 5-inch smartphone with Android 4.4 KitKat and a 13MP camera.
The smartphone line up meanwhile starts with the Liquid X1, featuring a 1.7 GHz octa-core processor, a 13MP camera, a 5.7-inch display, and a 2GB of memory expandable via microSD card.
Meanwhile the low-cost Acer Liquid Z200 smartphone is an entry-level phone with a 4-inch display and Android KitKat.
Another devices are the Liquid E700 and E600, with the E700 being the more powerful of the duo with a 3,500mAh battery, triple SIM capability, a 5-inch screen, 4GB of storage with microSD slot, Android KitKat and a quad-core processor.
The Liquid E600 has the same size screen but with a much lower 480 x 854 pixel resolution. It also packs a quad-core processor but lacks the triple SIM capability of the E700.
Last but not least is the Acer Iconia 8 Tab, which packs an 8-inch 1080p anti-fingerprint display with an Intel Atom quad-core chip, Android KitKat and microSD expansion.
Acer says it’s planning to launch all seven devices in Q3 this year.
