Accenture Reaffirms Its Commitment to Upskill Filipino Workforce
The government and various industry sectors in the Philippines have underscored the need to upskill the Filipino workforce and build training partnerships to answer the growing demand for a more efficient workforce.
This comes as the National Economic Development Authority highlighted the need to ‘strengthen human capital’ through quality education and upskilling in its recent workforce report.
In 2018, Accenture, TESDA, and several NGOs launched the program Skills to Succeed Academy or S2S Academy which aims to enhance Filipinos with job skills. The program, now with over 100 modules, offers free online learning courses on soft skills and confidence-building to help Filipinos gain the skills needed to get a job.
“Building the soft skills and confidence of the workforce is equally essential as supporting their technical training. The S2S Academy is a key initiative that allows Accenture Philippines and our partners to equip young job seekers in the Philippines in both aspects to level-up their employability and gain better career opportunities for a brighter future,” said Rudy Guiao, Corporate Citizenship Executive Sponsor, Accenture Philippines.
Since its launch in the Philippines in 2018, the S2S Academy has grown its learner base to over 145,000 learners.
