Qube Gallery presents A Solo Exhibition of Nune Alvarado at Qube Gallery in Crossroads, Banilad, Cebu City. The show will be open to the public starting April 23, 2015 with a vernissage on Wednesday.

A vernissage is a term used for a preview of an art exhibition, which may be private, before the formal opening. Guests may be served canapés and wine as they discuss with artists and others the works in the exhibition.

Nunelucio Alvarado hails from Negros Occidental and was born in 1950. He is largely influenced by the setting of Negros Occidental which his social commentary subjects come from.

With over 4 decades of experience in mounting solo and group exhibitions in the country and abroad, Alvarado has become a household name in the Philippine contemporary art scene.

Witness the signature work of one of the pioneering social realists in Visayas, with a new collection entitled “Nawong Series” and some classic pieces on the canvas.

The exhibit will run until May 17, 2015.
