Pastolan Ayta Tribe received P4.9 million worth of community facilities from Subic Bay Metropolitan Authority (SBMA).

In particular, it received a school building and a health clinic which is part of SBMA’s commitment in promoting the welfare of the indigenous community in the Freeport.

“The health clinic is expected to serve the 330 families living in the Ayta village, whereas the school building will be used by Grades 4-6 students who used to share one classroom,” SBMA Chair and Administrator Wilma T. Eisma said.

“This is a commitment under a Joint Management Agreement signed by the SBMA, Aytra Tribe and the National Commission on Indigenous Peoples that will provide compensation for the use of the Ayta ancestral domain,” Eisma added. (CLJD/CJFV-PIA 3)
