Foton Opens Showroom in Cebu

Foton Philippines opened its first showroom in the Visayas right at the heart of Mandaue City, Cebu.

“We have always considered Cebu as our strategic hub for our Visayas operations. With a steady increasing demand for Foton commercial vehicles, I firmly believe that this is perfect timing to expand our dealership with complete service facility,” said Rommel Sytin, president of Foton Philippines and UAAGI.

During the opening last July 10, Sytin announced that the partnership between Foton and Cummins have resulted with manufacturing of Foton Cummins ISF engine with Euro 3, 4 and 5 compliant engines. He also said that the company’s flagship remains the Thunder Mid-size pickup, which is equipped with Foton Cummins ISF engine. And in the coming days, Sytin said Foton will launch a new product: the Light Duty trucks, still with the same type of engine.

“On the other hand the partnership between Fotom and Daimler will launch Heavy Duty truck models equipped with Mercedes Benz engine which will be initially launched for the European market and soon for the Asia market,” he added.

Foton Cebu branch is just one of the dealership networks of the company all over the country. Sytin said they are also set to open more showrooms in Cavite, Bacolod City, Palawan, among others.
