SYNOPSIS: At 3:00 AM today, the Low Pressure Area (LPA) estimated at 760 km East Northeast of Basco, Batanes (22.7°N, 128.9°E). Southwest Monsoon is affecting Luzon. Meanwhile, the Severe Tropical Storm “LEEPI” estimated at 1,775 km East Northeast of Extreme Northern Luzon (OUTSIDE PAR) (28.5°N, 137.1 °E) with maximum sustained winds of 90 km/h and gustiness of up to 115 km/h. It is moving North at 25 km/h.
FORECAST: Visayas, Occidental Mindoro and Palawan will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or localized thunderstorms.
Strong to gale force winds blowing from the Southwest will prevail over Occidental Mindoro and its coastal waters will be rough to very rough. Moderate to strong winds from the Southwest will prevail over Visayas and Palawan with moderate to rough seas.
