Mandaue Uses Vacuum to Clear Clogged Drainage
Mandaue City is now using a P26-million vacuum to declog its drainage system to prevent flooding.
Mayor Jonas Cortes said the state-of-the-art vacuum truck was delivered by a US-based company last week, and since then the City Engineering Office team has been operating it by declogging their drainage systems.
Cortes said he is hopeful that this new investment would address the problems of flooding in their city, especially this season of heavy rains.
