Gwen is Back
After her six-month suspension, Cebu Governor Gwendolyn Garcia returned to her office in Capitol.
Even before she could warm her seat, Garcia fired provincial administrator Eduardo Habin. It was Habin who carried out the order on January 30, locking her in her office after she refused to leave.
Garcia also met with Department of the Interior and Local Goverment (DILG) representatives in her office. Her staff also came with her yesterday to clean the office and do some inventories.
Today, Garcia, in her Facebook account, said she will convene with the department heads and officers-in-charge. She will have until high noon of June 30 to perform her functions as Cebu Governor before she will assume her new position as representative of the third congressional district.
