Congressman-Elect Vows To Make Mandaue City A Lone District
Mandaue City Mayor Jonas Cortes, the congressman-elect of Cebu’s sixth district, has vowed to file a bill creating Mandaue as a lone congressional district.
Mandaue City, together with the towns of Consolacion and Cordova, comprise the sixth congressional district.

Cortes said he will also file a bill that will provide land titles to Mandaue City lots that only have tax declarations.
He said he will sponsor a bill that seeks to continue theconstruction of the third bridge linking Cordova and Cebu City to decongest traffic in Mandaue City.
Cortes also plans to continue the projects of Cebu sixth district Rep. Luigi Quisumbing, especially those focusing on education.
