Comelec Cancels Mall Voting Plans
he Commission on Elections (Comelec) has junked its plans to conduct voting in malls on May 9.
In a television interview, Comelec Chairman Juan Andres Bautista said in a 4-3 vote, the Comelec en banc has canceled the project due to lack of confidence.
Under the said endeavor, a total of 231,174 regular voters in 337 clustered precincts from 101 barangays will be allowed to vote in 80 malls nationwide.
The participating private establishments are: SM malls, Robinsons, Fishermall, among others.(PNA) BNB/FGP/EDS
