PNoy In Cebu For Pre Labor Day Event

President Benigno “Noynoy” Aquino is scheduled to visit Cebu today (April 27) for pre-Labor Day activities.

Aquino will grace the 2016 Pre Labor Day Job and Career Fair of Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) at Mandaue City Sports Complex, Mandaue City.

He will be accompanied by DOLE Secretary Rosalinda Baldoz, Mandaue City Mayor Jonas Cortes, and 6th District Congressman Luigi Quisumbing.

The activity is simultaneous in 44 different locations all throughout the country to kick off the 114th Labor Day celebration.

In Cebu, the fair will be participated in by 46 employers and 30 local and 16 overseas companies that will initially offer 17,639 jobs in at least seven areas.

This include construction, electronic assembly, masonry, carpentry, welding, tile setting, hotel and restaurant, and medical care.

He is expected to visit the booths where he will be briefed on the programs and interact with the beneficiaries.

After the event in Mandaue, the President will proceed to the Provincial Capitol grounds for an activity with local leaders.

This is the third time that Aquino visited Cebu province this year. (fcc/PIA7-Cebu)
