Philippine Embassy In Riyadh Launches ‘Dear Embassy’ Program
The Philippine Embassy in Riyadh, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has launched the “Dear Embassy” program to give Filipinos working and living in Saudi Arabia a chance to exercise their right to vote.
Philippine Ambassador to Saudi Arabia Ezzedin Tago said the program was launched by the Embassy to provide all registered Filipinos in Saudi Arabia the opportunity to carry out their right to vote.
[Ito po ay programang inilunsad ng Embassy upang mabigyan ang lahat ng rehistradong Pilipino sa Saudi Arabia ng pagkakataong ma-isakatuparan ang kanilang karapatang bumoto.]
Filipinos employees in a company or group can send an email to the Embassy about their desire to be extended from work to vote. The Embassy will then write a letter to the manager or owner of the company to explain the importance of providing opportunities for their employees to vote.
Filipinos in Riyadh can send the email at oav@philembassy-riyadh.org with the subject “Dear Embassy” along with the following information:

The Overseas Absentee Voting (OAV) kicked off last April 9, 2016. Registered Filipinos working or living overseas can cast their votes until Philippine National Election day on May 9, 2016. (DFA/RJB/JEG/PIA-NCR)
