Intel Philippines Introduces 6th Generation Intel Core Processors
Intel Philippines has introduced its 6th Generation Intel Core processors, dubbed as Intel’s “best processor ever.”
The 6th Generation Intel Core processors enable a wide range of computing factors, as well as the Intel Curie module that provides real-time sensor data which will allow consumers to experience technology like never before.
Intel’s Curie module is a small chip (about the size of a button) designed for use in wearable devices, enabling users to track real-time data with built-in sensors such as accelerometers and gyroscopes.
”The beauty about the 6th Generation Core is on the best and latest architecture. It has the best performance for gaming and other types of computing,” Calum Chisholm, Intel Philippines country manager, told the Philippines News Agency.
Aside from high-end gaming and “liquid cooling,” Chisholm cited that the 6th Generation Intel Core processors give benefits like facial recognition — enabling users to create their own avatar in gaming.
In a press conference, Chisholm noted that technology adoption within the local community is rising, with over 46 percent of population now connected online.
As such, he said Intel Philippines wants to help create new possibilities and innovations that will empower Filipinos in realizing their full potentials and capabilities through technology.
“The rapid growth in technology adoption continues to drive demand for better-performing, more efficient devices that help users do more. As the nature of technology shifts to adapt to the needs of consumers, Intel’s efforts bring to life even more amazing experiences for its users,” he said.
Intel’s “best processors ever” aim to deliver enhanced performance and new immersive experiences at the lowest power levels. These enhancements include a new quad-core Intel Core i5 processor that offers up to 60 percent improved mobile multitasking.
Furthermore, the 6th Generation Core processors, devices can now utilize WiGig and Intel WiDi features for wireless display freedom, Intel RealSense Technology and Windows Hello for password-free log-ins, and the integration of Intel Real Sense and Cortana for more immersive interactions with virtual assistants.
Local consumers now demand devices that cater to specific needs.
Meanwhile, the flexibility of 6 Generation Intel Core processors allow it to be scalable processors that help enable a broad range of device designs such as 2-in-1s, all-in-one desktops, and even Intel’s 2nd Generation Intel Compute Stick powered by the Intel Core M processor.
Chisholm said that as technology evolves and becomes more accessible, consumers will continue to discover new ways to utilize more of it.
“The 6th Generation Intel Core Processors have the power to keep pace with the growing needs of our users and deliver a good computing experience,” he added. (PNA) SCS/MCCA
