“Art In Embassies” Online Challenge Extended Until February 29
The United States Embassy Manila announced that the ‘Art in Embassies’ online challenge is extended until February 29, 2016.
Interested contestant must submit a photo of their original artwork depicting the theme “US-Philippine Friendship.” Upload the photo in highest resolution with a caption on the U.S. Embassy Facebook event page entitled “Art in Embassies Challenge.”
The caption must include a brief description of the artwork (title, style, materials used) and how the artwork relates to the theme.
One (1) artwork per individual may be entered. The Challenge is open to all Philippine residents, ages 18 and up. A Facebook “Like” by the U.S. Embassy Manila constitutes a valid entry to the contest.
Photos of the artwork may be taken using any device (digital camera, smart phone, DSLR) provided they are at least 5 megapixels in size. Photos must be original. Copyrighted photos or photos downloaded from the internet may not be used as entries. Edited photos are allowed but limited to cropping and color adjustment as long as they are original photos. Inappropriate or offensive photos are not permitted.
Criteria for judging will be 50 percent relevance to the theme and 50 percent creativity.
The winning artwork will be featured at the launch of the “Art in Embassies” booklet.
