Oatmeal Is Not Just For Breakfast
Think it’s too costly and time-consuming to go to a spa?
Pamper yourself in the comfort of your own home using oats. Whoever said that oats are only good for eating needs to get out more.
But why oats as the main ingredient you might ask? Simply because oats are hypoallergenic so there’s less risk of an allergic reaction making it applicable to all skin types.
You can mix oats with other household products. But my oatmeal mixture is as simple as reciting the ABCs.
Simply mix these three ingredients in a bowl:
2 – 3 Tablespoons of oats (either rolled or ground)
1/4 Cup of milk
1/2 Teaspoon of lemon or calamansi
Make sure the mixture is sticky. If it’s not, add more oats but don’t add more calamansi or lemon because it might irritate your face.
Put the mixture in your face and let it stay there for 30 minutes until it dries. It is messy to remove from your face so use a sponge or a small towel and soak it in lukewarm water to wipe off the oatmeal mask. It’s a long process but the results are worthwhile. After removing the mask, you’ll notice that you have a smooth, witer face. Don’t forget to apply it to the neck as well.
Oatmeal smoothens the face, the milk soothes and the calamansi whitens the face. Go ahead and try it!
