Dinagyang Food Fest to Feature The Best Of Ilonggo Foods

The Iloilo Hotel, Restaurant and Resort Association (IHRRA) will feature the best of Ilonggo foods during the Dinagyang food festival on January 21-24 along its traditional site in Delgado Street beside the Amigo Terrace Hotel.

Happy Abenir, spokesperson of IHRRA, said that their 35 members are ready to present the best Ilonggo cuisine and other Filipino dishes to the Dinagyang revelers. The association is a perennial partner of the Iloilo Dinagyang Foundation in presenting the best of Iloilo City during the famous Dinagyang Festival.

Abenir said the open site has been their food festival venue every year since the Dinagyang started some 48 years ago. IHRRA was able to convert a portion of Delgado St. into a family area with festival atmosphere during the nightly food trip.

Families and their visitors including foreign tourists patronized the place as they enjoy the open ambience, music and camaraderie.

Abenir said that San Miguel Corp. will provide the nightly live band music in a stage at the end of strip. All food fair participants compose of restaurants, eateries and hotels will have to decorate their stalls and vie for prizes as they present their best Filipino food at reasonable prices.
