PBOC Proclaims Samsam Gullas et. al

The Provincial Board of Canvassers (PBOC) proclaimed this morning congressman-elect (first district) Gerald Anthony “Samsam” Gullas, together with former tourism secretary Joseph “Ace” Durano for the fifth district and Rep. Benhur Salimbangon (fourth district), among others.

With 112,925 votes and with no opponent, the PBOC proclaimed Samsam as congressman in the district which his grandfather Eduardo “Edigul” Gullas will soon vacate on a high noon of June 30. Samsam said his Papa Eddie, who was defeated in the mayoralty race in Talisay City, will be his adviser.

Meanwhile, Salimbangon was also proclaimed this morning after defeating Celestino “Tining” Martinez III in the 4th district. He garnered 109,881 votes. Durano, with his 118,795 votes, was also declared winner in the 5th district at 11 am earlier today.
