Classes Suspended Today
The Department of Education (DeEpd) retains the suspension of classes in all levels both in private and public schools in Cebu Province as typhoon Ruby’s effect are still evident.
The provincial government on Sunday declared the information while Cebu City Mayor Mike Rama also echoed the same message in the afternoon after his meeting with the disaster council.
Rama added that they will have to suspend classes today (Monday) as major public schools in the city are still being utilized as evacuation centers. Evacuees, as of Sunday, are still advised to stay in the center as the typhoon makes its third landfall in Masbate province.
DepEd also announced that classes in all levels are also suspended in the cities of Talisay, Mandaue, Lapu-lapu and Carcar.
However, Cebu Doctor’s University in Cebu City, through news plugging, said they will hold classes today.
