Cordova Fisherman Rescued in Naga
A fisherman, whose boat was sinking, was rescued in the City of Naga at 5 am Friday.
While fishing, Enoc Sitoy, 58, of Cordova town said he was trying to save himself and his boat since 11 pm Thursday night but the bad weather made it difficult for him to get to the shallow area.
It was six hours later when the Naga Emergency and Rescue Team (NEAT) saw Sitoy slowly drifting to the sea within the Municipal waters of Naga.
Ray Mantalaba of NEAT said Sitoy’s boat was already old and battered that the onrush of waves holed its wooden hull, causing the boat to sink, albeit slowly.
