Brgy. Sta. Cruz Receives Mini Dump Truck

The Cebu City Government formally gave a mini dump truck to barangay Sta. Cruz on Wednesday at Cebu City Hall.

Mayor Michael Rama formally turned over one reconditioned 6-wheeler mini garbage truck worth P598, 000, which was personally received by Sta. Cruz barangay captain Jerome Lim.

The reconditioned half a million mini dump truck is equipped with side ladders at both sides, full top garbage cover, rope, and a cast bronze bell.

Lim thanked the City government for the additional equipment after he revealed that he made his first request over the truck since the past administration. He added that with the new truck, the barangay could now fast-track its garbage collection.

To date, Sta. Cruz now has three garbage trucks with two in good condition. Their first garbage truck was procured through its barangay funds and is now being fixed due to some engine problems. The second one was also given in 2011 by the first term of Mayor Rama.   (Gessa Gunhuran, PIO Staff)
