Kai Sotto Undrafted in This Year’s NBA Draft

Kai Sotto goes undrafted in this NBA 2022 draft held on Friday (Manila Time).

Kai Sotto was projected to get drafted in the second round but teams passed on him.

The 7 foot 3 Filipino basketball sensation had pre-draft workouts with different NBA teams such as the New York Knicks, Orlando Magic, Los Angeles Clippers, Chicago Bulls, Indiana Pacers, and Sacramento Kings — where former PBA player Jimmy Alapag works as part of the coaching staff of the team’s G League team.

During his stint with the Adelaide 36ers in Australia’s National Basketball League, Sotto averaged 7.6 points (51 FG% and 39% from the three-point line), 4.5 rebounds, and 0.7 blocks while playing 15 minutes per game.

Even though Kai Sotto did not get drafted this year, he still has a chance to be signed by a team and may play in this year’s NBA Summer League. (ASC)
