Diesel, Gasoline Continue to Rise in Price, Kerosene Price down

For the sixth-straight week, diesel and gas prices in the country continue to shoot up, while kerosene price slightly goes down.

Oil firms Caltex, Petro Gazz, PTT Philippines, Seaoil, and Shell in separate statements announced an increase in diesel price by PHP0.10 per liter. The oil firms also announced that they will increase their gasoline prices by PHP0.60 per liter, with other oil companies expected to make their respective price adjustments.

Meanwhile, oil firms Caltex, Seaoil, and Shell will reduce their kerosene prices by PHP0.05 per liter. Other oil firms are expected to make similar adjustments as well.

The oil price adjustments will take effect this Tuesday.

The Department of Energy said year-per-year prices for gasoline has increased by PHP11.75 per liter, diesel prices have climbed by PHP9.90 per liter, and kerosene prices have increased by PHP8.40 per liter. (GFB)
