Gov’t Offices in R7 To Require Safety Seal Soon
The Department of Local and Interior Government (DILG) is finalizing the guidelines on issuing the safety seal certificate on local government offices in region 7 on Tuesday, June 22, 2021.
The DILG, Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), Department of Health (DOH), Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE), and Department of Tourism (DOT) have issued Joint Memorandum Circular No. 21-01 formalizing the creation of the “Safety Seal Certification Program.”
DILG-7 Regional Director Atty. Leocadio Trovela said that the issuance of a safety seal will give confidence to the clients of government offices that the building is compliant with the minimum health protocols.
Government offices included in the requiring of safety seal certificates are city and municipal hall buildings, provincial capitols, government facilities, barangay halls, fire stations, and police precincts.
An inspection team created by DILG will evaluate the compliance of government buildings with the minimum health protocols before issuing a safety seal certificate.
The government building issued with the safety seal certificate can display the seal in a noticeable area of the building. (ASC)
