OSY to Get Computer Literacy Training

In its aim to provide skills training to the indigents, the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) 7 Labor will implement a computer literacy program to the out-of-school youth in the region.

In a statement, DOLE 7 together with the Industry Tripartite Council-Business Process Management / Information and Communication Technology (ITC-BPM-ICT), which will provide the computer units, will start the program by the next semester of this year.

At least 30 computer units will be used for the program which Northern Cebu Colleges-Bogo City was picked as the pilot school.

DOLE 7 has ready eyed out-of-school youths from Barangay Calang, Bogo City, to be the first batch of students for this project. The department  has chosen this barangay to become Child Labor-Free barangay in Cebu.
