LTO’s ‘Plate Modernization’ Set on September
The Land Transportation Office (LTO) 7 announced Tuesday that it is set to implement its Plate Modernization Program this September.
Attorney Raul Aguiluz, LTO7 chief, said they are now preparing for this program which is aimed at giving better services to the motorists.
Aguiluz has not revealed yet the design of this modern plate but he shared that car theft would had a hard time stealing it. “It would not be easily stolen as what is usually the case lodged the office.” he said. Also, through this new system it would be easier for authorities to identify the owners of the vehicle especially those who have violated the law, he said.
Brand-new four-wheel vehicles can get the new plates starting September this year at a price of P450 per set. For motorcycles, their new plates will become available on January next year at P120.
