Man Shot Dead

A 30-year-old man was shot dead Friday while travelling along B. Aranas Extension, Barangay Duljo, Cebu City.

Authorities identified the victim as one Christopher Sarmento, 30, of Barangay Ermita. Based on the initial investigation conducted by the city police, Sarmento, who was on board a motorcycle, stopped on a red light along B. Aranas when a Honda motorcycle (GS 6646) appeared and gunshots were then heard after.

Sarmento succumbed to three gunshot wounds in his head and two in the other parts of the body. Meanwhile, eyewitnesses told police that the gunman was wearing a black helmet, a brown jacket and a pair of camouflage short pants. Police are still conducting investigation as to the incident.
