Consolacion Town Conducts Annual Tree Planting

The northern town of Consolacion conducted its annual tree planting activity on August 24, Saturday in Barangay Tolotolo.

Mayor Joannes “Joyjoy” Alegado led the said activity along with all the employees of the Consolacion Municipal Hall including Department heads and policemen planting 1,000 seedlings.

Meanwhile, Vice Mayor Teresa “Nene” Alegado said that it is on its 9th year that the town is conducting the tree planting activity.

Mayor Joannes Alegado said that tree planting activities are efficient in preserving the environment since it can help avoid floods and can also supply fresh air that we need on a daily basis.

Mayor Alegado also believed that this activity will serve as a good influence on everyone especially the youth for them to come up with the idea on how to protect and preserve the environment.

Among the officials present during the activity were councilor Aurelio Damole, councilor Alfie Ouano, and Barangay Captain Juver Tapayan. (MLC)
