JIKFI Aids Gun-ob, Lapu-lapu City Fire Victims

Juanito I. King Foundation, Inc. (JIKFI) with the assistance of the LGU of Barangay Gun-ob, Lapu-Lapu City and DSWD Lapu-Lapu sent aid to the Purok Ube, Brgy. Gun-ob fire of July 14, 2019.

1,000 total number of meal packs, complete with water and juice for hydration were shared to the victims and survivors of the Purok Ube fire that razed over 200 houses in just around 5
hours.

A Family who lost their house that was caused by the Brgy. Gun-ob fire stays at a makeshift shelter.

With the damage being estimated at around P500,000.00, JIKFI immediately initiated meal sharing for the victims and also handed out hams and sausages for the evacuation center’s breakfast through their community kitchen.

Eleonor Tumulak Pontanosas, the Barangay captain of Gun-ob, Lapu-Lapu City was thankful for JIKFI’s initiative and generosity, commending the number of meals that the foundation gave was more than one and also helped in the ease of feeding the children as they like hams and sausages.
