GCash Calls More Partners in Visayas
Mobile Money Service GCash launched its social responsibility program called “GCash for Good” on May 30, at Bai Hotel in Mandaue City, Cebu.
GCash for Good allows people to donate money to certain Non-Goverment Organizations (NGOs) that promotes welfare to the less fortunate or the ones in need of assistance.
GCash invites all NGOs in Cebu and Visayas to join the program to give back to the community.
Reyner Villasenor, Vice President for Corporate Communications said that GCcash for Good is a sustainable program to help address the issues of the society. GCash for Good also develops the GCash mobile app.
GCash is operated by Globe Fintech Innovations Inc.
“With GCash for Good, GCash users can use the app to donate to various groups to create an impact on society,” Villasenor said.
Villasenor added that by using the GCash app, people will no longer have to go NGO offices to donate and wait for a long queue.
However, NGOs that want to be a part of the said program will have to acquire some requirements before becoming an official GCash for Good partner. (MLC)
