Talisay City Councilor Wants Police to Receive Allowance
Talisay City Councilor Elect Gail Restauro expressed his willingness to pass a resolution giving the policemen of the city a P1,000 allowance.
“Angayan gyud hatagan unya ang uban nga mga police nag abang ug boarding house, ang cost of living sad (It is right to give them allowance considering some of our policemen is paying for house/room rent and we should also consider the cost of living),” Restauro said.
As the new chairman on the committee on peace and order in the city council, Restauro looks on the bright side saying he appreciated the performance of the policemen.
Restauro said that members of the Talisay City Police Station is successful in implementing peace and order in the city.
Restauro recommended that each policeman/policewoman will receive a P1,000 allowance but the passage of the resolution will still depend on the decision of the whole council.
On June 30th, Restauro and the rest of the Alayon slate will take oath to serve the city of Talisay once again.
All candidates from mayor to city councilors won the midterm elections in Talisay City.
Restauro is the chairman of Committee on Laws as well. (MLC)
