83 Seagoing Passengers Stranded by ‘Habagat’

(PNA) — Inclement weather and waves, further intensified by the “habagat” (southwest monsoon) and Typhoon “Falcon,” has so far stranded 83 passengers, two ships and 10 motorbancas in various ports nationwide.

This was revealed by the Philippine Coast Guard in an update Tuesday night.

Number of stranded passengers can be broken down into 37 for Aparri and 46 for Camarines Sur.

While ships prevented from leaving port are placed at two, one in Aparri and another one in Coron.

Ten motorbancas have been grounded also in Aparri. (PNA) JBP/PFN
