8,000 Cebuano Entrepreneurs Benefit from DTI-7 Aid
The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI-7) gave aid to 8,000 small entrepreneurs beneficiaries of the SUGBO Negosyo of the Cebu provincial government.
The beneficiaries received P10,000 through the program.
SUGBO Negosyo is a joint project of the Cebu provincial government, DTI-7, and the Mandaue Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
So far, DTI-7 has conducted 17 seminars in February in their Negosyo Centers to provide mentorship and aid to eligible beneficiaries.
The Capitol allocated about P100 million for the program. The budget has been released through 17 board members with P5 million each and P15 million through the office of the Vice Governor.
The beneficiaries who received the cash aid could use it to buy goods for their business.
Aside from the SUGBO Negosyo program, there are other categories which are the Negosyo Padayon” worth PHP50,000 for each beneficiary and “Produktong Sugboanon” worth PHP20,000. (ASC)
