7th Congressional District Office Inaugurated in Dumanjug
In his eagerness to serve his constituents better, 7th District Congressman Peter John Calderon brought his office closer to the people. With the help of Dumanjug Mayor Gungun Gica, he was able to set-up his office in Dumanjug town.
The inauguration started with a mass celebrated by Fr. Richard Rama, assistant parish priest of St. Francis of Assisi Parish of Dumanjug, followed by the blessing of the office.
According to Calderon, he is very happy to have his office in Dumanjug as he will be now closer to his constituents.
It would be easier, more accessible to the people, and at the same time, the projects and services can be delivered to the people faster, he added.
Present during the inauguration were 7th District Board Members Christopher Baricuatro, Jerome Librando, Ronda Mayor Mariano Blanco III, Moalboal Mayor Inocentes Cabaron and Vice Mayor Lingling Rozgoni, Alcantara Mayor Beatriz Caburnay, Ginatilan Mayor Dean Michael Singco, and Gica with the rest of Dumanjug municipal officials as well as guests from neighboring towns.
“From the bottom of my heart, I thank Congressman Calderon that he chose to put his office in Dumanjug out of the eight towns of the 7th district. He is also a Dumanjuganon by heart and for the first time in history, a congressman has an office in his own district” expressed Gica.
Cabaron also said it is a “great help to the people of the seventh district that they no longer have to travel far to be at the congressman’s office since it is now near, the time and expenses saved are very helpful.”
Caburnay for her part said that it is good that a congressional district office was opened in Dumanjug so that if she needs help for her constituents she can easily come and see the congressman.
The 7th congressional district is comprised of the towns of Dumanjug, Ronda, Alcantara, Moalboal, Badian, Alegria, Malabayoc and Ginatilan. (Dumanjug PIO)
