6.8 Magnitude Earthquake Jolts India
Moscow (PNA/Sputnik) — A 6.8 magnitude earthquake struck the city of Imphal in India.
US Geological Survey reported that a 6.8-magnitude earthquake struck the city of Imphal in India near the Myanmar border. It has been reported that the quake was 57 kilometers deep.
The city of Imphal is the the capital of the Indian state of Manipur with population over 400,000 people. There have been no reports of casualties or destruction yet. (PNA/Sputnik) JBP/SSC
