55 CPDRC Personnel Test Negative for Drug Use
At least 55 personnel of the Cebu Provincial Detention and Rehabilitation Center (CPDRC) were subjected to a random drug test on Wednesday, Jan. 9.
None of them tested positive for drug use.
A team from the Cebu Provincial Anti-Drug Abuse Office (CPADAO), led by its Operations Division head Diane Patricio, conducted the surprise drug test inside the facility.
CPDRC warden Reynaldo Valmoria was the first one to submit himself to the surprise drug test.
Valmoria said he was glad that CPADAO conducted the drug test for the jail personnel.
He said it was the first time that a surprise drug test at CPDRC was initiated under his leadership.
He said that jail personnel who are on vacation leave will have to submit themselves to a same test in CPADAO.
Valmoria warned that any personnel who are found positive for using illegal drugs have no place in CPDRC.
The CPDRC has a total of 156 personnel, including the administrative staff, blue guards, job-order, casual andpermanent employees; and janitorial services workers.
Valmoria said there are three shifting schedules at the facility.
The last drug test at CPDRC was conducted by the PNP Regional Crime Laboratory 7 on Aug. 4, 2018. (Cebu Provincial Gov’t)
