5 Ways to Use Ice in Your Beauty Regimen

Published

on

From de-puffing your eyes to soothing acne, here are a few ways to include ice cubes to your beauty routine.

To treat puffy eyes

Lack of sleep, too much stress or even straining your eyes for too long can cause them to look puffy and swollen. To reduce this unpleasant and unwanted swelling, just wrap some ice cubes in a paper towel and rub them over your eyes gently. The coolness will soothe your eyes.

To soothe acne

As soon as you notice a pimple, take some ice cubes and gently rub them over the affected area. The cold ice cube constricts the blood vessel in such a way that the blood goes to the surface of the skin. This reduces the redness and the swelling.

To minimize the appearance of pores

Ice also acts as an effective remedy to minimize the appearance of enlarged pores. Glide an ice cube on your face to reduce the size of your pores.

To numb the area before and after you tweeze

Tweezing hair can often be very painful. To reduce this pain, rub some ice against your skin before you tweeze. This will numb the area and you won’t feel much pain during tweezing. You can also rub some more ice on your skin after you’re done tweezing to calm the inflamed area.

To refresh tired skin

When you glide ice on your face, your body will automatically send an increased flow of warm blood to that area, thus improving blood circulation. This will refresh and perk up tired skin. Take some ice and place it in a glass and use this glass to cool your face. Do not apply ice directly to your face as this can damage your capillaries.
